About Trade Capital Guide
Trade Capital Guide exists because most of what shows up when a roofing, HVAC, or electrical contractor searches for working capital is a single funder's landing page dressed up as an educational article — written to close one specific deal, not to help the reader understand their actual options.
We're not a lender. We don't fund anything ourselves, and we don't have a house product we're trying to steer you toward. Our guides cover merchant cash advances, lines of credit, equipment financing, and invoice factoring on equal footing, because the honest answer to "which one should I get" depends on your specific payment gap, credit profile, and what the money is actually for — not on which product happens to be most profitable to sell.
How this actually works
Each guide is written for one trade, because a roofing company's insurance-claim payment gap, an HVAC company's seasonal demand swing, and an electrical contractor's retainage timing are genuinely different problems that call for different funding fits — not the same generic article with the trade name swapped out.
When you submit the funding-request form on any guide page, we match your numbers against our directory of funding partners — MCA providers, lines of credit, equipment financers, and factoring companies — and show you which ones you'd actually qualify for, with the reasoning behind the match. If nothing in our current directory fits, we'll tell you that honestly, along with why, rather than forcing a match that doesn't exist. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle the information you share, and ourTerms & Conditions for the full picture of how the Service works, including that any offer or approval comes from the funding partner, not from us.
What we're not
We're not a broker pressuring you to sign same-day, and we're not going to bury the total repayment cost behind a "factor rate" you have to do math on yourself. Every guide is written to help you compare offers in real dollars, spot the red flags common in this industry (stacking pressure, vague repayment terms, confessions of judgment), and walk away from a bad deal if that's the right call for your business.

About the author
Trade Capital Guide is written and maintained by Bobby Daniels, who spent nearly 25 years in operations leadership at a Fortune 100 company, managing P&L and day-to-day operations across five separate business units nationally. He holds a B.S. in Applied Science.
Trade Capital Guide is a new venture, built on that operations background rather than prior tenure in the lending or MCA industry — the same reason a contractor calls a controller instead of a salesperson when a job's cash timing doesn't add up. Two and a half decades of managing multi-entity P&Ls means seeing the same payment-gap problem this site's guides are written for — materials and payroll due before the job is paid — from the operating side, at scale, long before founding this site to help contractors work through it directly.
